Academics:
Reading: Our story this week is The Mixed up Chameleon. Tuesday and Thursday are reading at home nights. Tests will be on Fridays.
Science: We began a unit on different animal groups! We are learning about mammals, reptiles, amphibians, insects, birds & fish.
Spelling: Study List 4 from our phonics. We will write 2 sentence dictations at the bottom of the list. Please write them nightly in manuscript writing.
Phonics: We will review combinations this week: er, ir, & ur
Math: We will identify polygons & fractions and sort geometric shapes by attributes.
Handwriting: We will review the strokes for Rr, Nn, Mm, & Hh.
English: We are still working on personal narrative stories! This week we will help out a college student, Alana Brownlee; a P.A. alum, write a children’s book.
